Anyone can count the seeds in an apple, but only God can count the number of apples in a seed.
As a brand-new agent (like a month after passing my licensing exam), I didn’t ask for Introductions because of all the typical head trash like “I’ll wait until I do something for them” or “the time wasn’t right”. Carly Guy (our activity monitor) quicky disavowed me of those flawed assumptions, making me sit there and go over how I helped someone without selling a product and asking me “what if you never saw this person again? You’ll never get paid for that time you sat with them and helped them.” She convinced me to ask if I felt like I helped them and convinced me to focus on helping the person I sat with every time, something I do to this very day.
A few months later I met a guy, a graduating engineer getting his first real job, and earned three Introductions. Never saw him again. But those three introductions led to two clients, and both of them gave me numerous Introductions over the years as well as a lot more business. Those Introductions gave me more, which gave me more. An entire tree grew from one individual’s seeds.
One of those trees was eventually worth almost a million dollars of annual premium. Huge things come from tiny starts, and none of us can foretell how large of an orchard we can build from just a handful of seeds.
