“Keep your face to the sunshine and you will never see the shadows.” -Helen Keller
Some people bring the clouds with them even on the sunniest days, and others brighten a room the instant they show up. Be the light.
Monty Python sang “Always look on the bright side of life.” If you are looking for the good, you overlook the bad. Your focus remains on the positive, so the negative is blurred and less important because of where your attention is directed.
If you count wins every day, the losses still exist but are diminished in stature and pushed to the corners of your brain instead of dominating your mind. You only have a certain amount of space on your mental tally sheet, so clocking the victories instead of defeats reinforces the positive belief system and makes you focus on more opportunities to win.
