“One day you will do things for me that you hate. That is what it means to be family.” Jonathan Safran
Foer
My niece once asked “Are they a blood relative or a love relative?” Because just because there isn’t
shared genetic code does not mean they aren’t your tribe and family.
Doesn’t matter if they don’t share the same bloodline, true family will help clean up the blood and ask
questions later. Or never mention it again.
If my people ask, I will be there.
I will be there even if they don’t ask.
That’s what it means to be one of my people.
That’s why I get introduced as “this is my guy and you have to meet him.”
Because family, from whatever source, is the most powerful force.
