Just Ask

By Joe Templin · October 21, 2026 · 1 min read

For the things we have to learn before we can do them, we learn by doing them.

— Aristotle

You do not overcome your fear by reading, you overcome it by doing.

You are probably afraid to ask for Introductions, because you don’t think you deserve them or that you haven’t added value or the timing isn’t right or whatever false evidence appearing real is going on in you.

Just ask for the Introduction.

They aren’t going to reach across the table and choke you.

They won’t put on the jumbotron that you are a horrible person.

They won’t tell all their friends you’re a weirdo.

They probably won’t even complain to the person who introduced them to you that you asked.

Stop trying to learn all the intricacies and just go actually do it, and your fear will subside.
