“Every day is an opportunity disguised as a challenge.” -Tiki Barber
It’s cold out and the bed is warm. This is a challenge that Emperor Marcus Aurelius wrestled with, as noted in his book “Meditations” which was actually his private diary that was supposed to be destroyed after his death almost two millennia ago.
Bruce Lee had his back broke and while laying there dictated what would become the essence of his book “The Tao of Jeet Kune Do”. Once he could walk he overcame the challenge of physical recovery and become the legend that he remains, half a century after his death.
Maybe you don’t have any appointments today. Jocko Willink (US Navy SEAL, retired) would say “Good. More time to practice your language and pick up the phone to call people.”
A challenge is a chance to improve and overcome, to prove to yourself and the world that you can and will win. Rise to the challenge and become the advisor that you deserve to be.
