The goal is to win, but it is the goal that is important, not the winning.
Some people might misinterpret and think that I beat up people to get Introductions, that every time like a cold killing machine I get six Introductions and there is no room for variability or human factors in my impeccable, meticulous, and callous process.
I’m just a dude that knows the process so well that I don’t have to think about it and follow it so well I can go off-script and come back with little worry about the deviation.
The goal is to get Introductions, but the important thing is to build a symbiotic relationship of helping the client have the life they want for the people that they care about. If and when I am moving them along towards that goal, I will get the Introductions because they will value me as a person and a professional and will not only want to share me but ultimately they become advocates since I have added so much to their lives. If I need to go a little slower to go further and eventually faster with them I can do so, partially because with the confidence to not have to get compensated today, I am less desperate and more attractively powerful. Combine this with having a full calendar so I know I have four or more other opportunities to get paid in Intros that day means that I can be calm and allow the process to play out as appropriate.
Win, but remember that the goal is not to win just today but to have decades of positive and profitable interactions with this person, and your perspective might shift.
